    • Device Compatibility and Integration: The customer needed a hub that could
      integrate various smart home devices into its system, but differences in device
      types and lack of standardized protocols created problems.
    • Complexity on the User Interface Side: It was challenging to develop an
      intuitive user interface that could manage several devices with such users having
      different levels of technical knowledge.
    • Data Security and Privacy Issues: IoT data also needs to be processed safely
      so that user privacy is preserved and the data rules are not being violated.
    • Slow Real-time Monitoring: The existing system was not showing real-time
      status; this would impact strongly on the control and user experience that one
      needs when they are regulating their smart home.

    • IoT Implementation with PHP/Laravel and AWS: With Laravel and AWS, the
      team developed a multi-smart-home-device implementation. Using the designed
      platform, it was possible for people to interact easily with devices of various
      kinds.
    • User-Friendly Mobile Interface with React Native: Practice designed a mobile
      interface using the React Native framework to enable intuitive interaction with the
      system by controlling devices, setting up automation, and keeping track of their
      homes.
    • Docker for Secure Storage and Data Transfer: Practice used Docker
      containers for secure, isolated data storage and transfer. This allowed provision
      of data protection requirements while building trust in users with this platform.
    • Data Monitoring in Real-Time: Real-time monitoring has enabled the immediate
      update on the control of devices users have in their homes in real time, thus
      presenting a responsive and efficient way of living in a smart home.

  • Improved Device Compatibility: The platform has robust integrating capabilities, hence making multiple smart home devices compatible as a one-stop solution towards home automation.
  • Improved User Experience The mobile application had an easily understandable interface that simplified its use to gain better convenience for users.
  • Data Security was Enhanced: Docker and AWS integrations ensured safe data handling, reduced privacy risks, and gave users confidence in using the system.
  • Real-Time Home Monitoring: The real-time capability of the system enabledactive monitoring of the smart home environment by the user, thus ensuring prompt control and alerts.
